G.Avinash here. I was involved in an accident in 2016 while pursuing my post-graduate degree in neurosurgery at Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital, leaving me with a spinal cord injury (C 6-7) and quadriplegia.
I had surgery right there at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital and spent a month in the intensive care unit. I was confined to my bed and unable to feel or move any parts of my body below the chest.
Although I had Varma and Ayurvedic treatment in a number of hospitals, my condition didn't significantly improve. Even though I had an epidural stimulation surgery in 2020 at Miot Hospital in Chennai, I didn't make much progress.
Before my accident, I was an excellent athlete who was quite active. I've played cricket, volleyball, hockey, table tennis, and ball badminton in the past.

After an accident that lasted six years, I can now use a wheelchair. I'm preparing for the National Para-Table Tennis competition.
Through my friends, I learned about 100Medals and how you are assisting injured athletes in recapturing their lost dreams.
So, in order for me to prepare for the competition and succeed, I am writing to ask that you give me a better wheelchair (NeoMotion) and the essential wheelchair table tennis equipment.
